Tvam Scrub and Body Polisher (Apricot and Walnut)

Hello ladies! Without much ado, today I would jump directly over the review. I am very busy with my sister’s college admission and college road trips, I am actually writing this review on the run (not literally). And there I go again talking about life etc. so! Now back to the review. I am reviewing a scrub-cum-body polisher from Tvam which contains apricots and walnuts as its main scrubbing agents. I received it in my April Fabbag! And that’s the reason I am so excited to review it, couldn’t wait.

Product Description:

Apricot and walnut Scrub is a face scrub and body polisher with walnut shell grains. Almond oil and Ayurvedic extracts enhances skin tone and smoothness. Removes black heads, unclogs pores, and deeply cleanses the skin. Softens skin by retaining moisture, rejuvenates the skin and reduces skin discoloration.

Ingredients:

All ingredients are natural except the preservatives.

Usage Instructions:

Wet skin, gently massage for a minute. Wash off.

My Experience:

As I said earlier, I received this scrub in my Fabbag, my first Fabbag, long back in April. I got a 30ml sample. It is available in the market in 100ml packaging. Firstly, my experience with Fabbag as been awesome!

Now coming to the product, it comes in a glass jar with a lack lid. The scrub has a creamy consistency and the walnut and apricot shell grains, as mentioned in the product description, are clearly visible in the scrub. The paste in the scrub is creamy and smooth. The grains in the scrub are not too coarse and not soft. It does not hurt while scrubbing and effectively smoothes skin. The cream in the scrub is very moisturizing and hydrating and you can feel that even after washing it off.

I like the fresh feeling after you scrub away the dead skin. It’s like you are pampering yourself and its thanking you for it.

What I don’t like about this product is its smell. It is an Ayurvedic product but it does not smell like it. When you open something that says ‘Ayurvedic’ on it, the first thing that you do (or I do) is to smell it. It smells herbal and all rusty and you are assured that it has no chemicals.

BUT! This product smells like a perfume. I don’t like its strong smell. But I like that it stays and lingers for some time.

Pros:
  • Hydrates skin
  • Scrubs off dead skin effectively
  • Mild fragrance felt on skin
  • Not too coarse scrub
  • Leaves skin soft and smooth

Cons:
  • The fragrance seems artificial
  • Expensive!

Price:

The online price is INR 988 for 100ml. It’s too much for me to spend a thousand rupees on a scrub!
But I loved the sample.

Will I buy it again?

I received a sample. I loved it. Since it is mostly available online, I would definitely buy it if available (on discount).
Hope this helped.
